Arlene was heartbroken when her fiancé declared after a long engagement that they were not suitable for each other and that he has found someone who suited him perfectly. With this, he tried to place all the responsibility of their broken engagement upon her and like a school girl being instructed by an older person; she started believing every word that he said.
