Chili’s Vs Bonefish Grill

Friday, October 28th, 2011

As many of you may know, my favorite restaurant is Bonefish Grill, but last week I had the opportunity to go to Chili’s with some friends. That experience led me to decide to make a short review of Chili’s and also briefly compare it to my favorite restaurant, Bonefish Grill. First of all the menu at Chili’s obviously isn’t much like the Bonefish Grill menu. However, I found that the steak dishes at both restaurants were both good and similar in taste. The service, however I found to be very similar to Bonefish Grill. Both restaurants are known for their great customer service and making sure you have a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I felt just as much as home in Chili’s as I did at Bonefish Grill, even though I’ve been to Bonefish Grill at least ten times the amount of times I’ve been to Chili’s. It’s hard not to want to go back to restaurants like these. In conclusion, while I still prefer Bonefish Grill, I had an enjoyable experience at Chili’s.

Methods to Cook Nutritious Vegetables:

Monday, October 17th, 2011

Vegetables are very good for health. Using a vegetable steamer to cook food seems easier than any other process. Cut the vegetables properly and place it in a basket. Boil the water to a high temperature and then close the jackets of the vegetable steamer so that the steamer temperature increases. Wait for a few minutes to complete the process of steaming.

Blanching is the traditional method of cooking. Take a saucepan and pour some water on to it. Heat the water for about 5 minutes. Cut the vegetables into pieces. Then place these vegetables into the hot water. Some salt should also be added. Salt increases the temperature of the water and it creates a barrier on the pores of the vegetables. These methods help to keep the nutrients in the boiled vegetables. These methods are widely used to cook nutritious food. Both the methods keep the nutritional value of the food.

Thursday, October 13th, 2011

Having pizza hut printable coupons is a great way to enjoy your meal. The phrase “enjoy your meal” will only stay true if it will meet two important factors. First factor is the taste of the meal. Of course, you will not enjoy the meal if it tastes so bad. You can only say that you did enjoy the meal if it is delicious enough to satisfy your cravings. Thus, you mind keep on roaming around and you are not focused on what you are doing at the moment, which is eating. On the other hand, if your purchase is lesser than the budget, you will surely enjoy a great meal!

A Brief History of Pizza Hut

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

For over 50 years, Pizza Hut has been feeding families with their delicious pizzas and their generous pizza hut coupons. Pizza Hut is such a commonly found restaurant that it is hard to believe that it came from very small, humble beginnings. The first restaurant opened in 1958 by Frank and Dan Carney near the Wichita State University in Kansas. The brothers borrowed $600 from their mother as their start-up fund. After a year of doing business, the company incorporated and opened the first franchise location in Topeka, Kansas. In 1964, the iconic red-roofed building was designed by architect Richard D. Burke as an attempt to counter the competition of newly created pizza franchises. By 1972, Pizza Hut had over 300 locations, and continued to gain success. Currently, Pizza Hut is the world’s largest pizza chain with more than 6,000 restaurants in the United States, and 5,600 in 94 countries worldwide. They currently employ over 30,000 employees, and the headquarters has relocated from Kansas to Texas.

Healthy Pizza Recipes Should Be on Your Menu

Saturday, September 24th, 2011

Did you know that you could incorporate healthy pizza recipes into your healthy diet regimen? These pizzas are nothing like the frozen pizzas sold in the grocer stores or like the take out pizzas sold by fast food restaurants. These pizzas are made with whole foods and flavored with fresh herbs, spices and seasonings. Everyone who knows anything about authentic pizzas will tell you that real pizzas are never ever frozen under any circumstances. The Neapolitans set the standard for how authentic pizzas are made and true pizza lovers stick to that formula.

To add another dish to our healthy pizza recipes, you bring you, “Oven Baked Fish & Homemade Chips.” And all the kids sang, “Yummy for my tummy!” Generally speaking when families make fish at home, it is usually deep-fried. In this recipe we use a light olive oil to coat the fish and then cover it in a crispy pecan, walnut and almond crust and bake until it is golden brown.

Delicious Pizza from a Pan

Wednesday, August 24th, 2011

When making pizza at home numerous people are of the opinion that you need to have a pizza stone. Whilst it is true that a pizza stone does make authentic pizzas, there does exist an alternative being a good pizza pan. Pizza pans have a number of benefits over a pizza stone in that they are lightweight, easy to move and they don’t crack. There are many varieties of pans designed to create pizza with each style having unique strengths. The most often owned variation of pizza pan is a simple aluminium pan. This sort of pizza pan is cheap and easy to use. Although above everything else, an aluminium pizza pan generally make awesome pizza. You can buy pizza pan in most department stores but the best place to get a bargain is Amazon.com. There you will find multitudes of designs at competitive prices with free shipping on a $25 spend.

A Zojirushi Bread Machine

Friday, August 19th, 2011

Before looking for a bread machine or a bread maker, it is best to read some bread machine reviews before purchasing one. You might not know what you’re buying and sometimes reviews can be wrong as well. This is a review on the Zojirushi BB-CEC20 and I will list down its pros and cons in this review. First of all, the Zojirushi BB-CEC20 is one of the best bread machines that many users will agree upon and it makes quality breads as well. It has a variety a function and features and it can make other type of breads and even jams. It also bakes cake and can cook meat loaf as well. The Zojirushi BB-CEC20 has a dual mixing paddle which is very good for a bread machine. It also has a number of baking cycles and baking types for one to choose. It bakes bread horizontally and breads that are made horizontally are always the best. The flaws are such as it is too big and too heavy. It might not fit the counter top and it is also very expensive.

What is Orchid Oolong Tea?

Saturday, August 6th, 2011

When you buy an expensive type of tea like Orchid Oolong Teafor instance, you want to know how to brew the best batch possible to truly enjoy the money you spent on it. Here are some tips to follow. The type of water you use will greatly affect the final taste of the batch. Typically it is advised that you use mineral water instead of tap water since this complements the flavor of the tea better and allows you to distinguish the tastes more effectively. Once you have selected your choice of water boil it to a range between 105 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit. Don’t let the water boil for too long since this will ruin the chemical components of the tea and the resulting batch may be too bitter to drink. Steep for between 3 to 5 minutes depending on how strong you want the tea to be, and try to time this carefully for best results.

Catering Supplies and Equipment

Tuesday, July 5th, 2011

Professional catering projects and assignments require many different types of equipment and catering supplies. Caterers must have the proper resources available to prepare the food, transport it from one their location to the event destination, display the food appropriately and serve the food the heir clients guests. A professional caterer must also provide the right utensils and plates necessary to eat the meal. In each case, the types of equipment that is needed will depend on the types of foods that the caterer prepares and serves. Most caterers should also have a variety of different cooking supplies such as knives, cutting boards, pots, pans, measuring cups, and baking dishes. The kitchen area or location must also be fully equipped with ovens, stoves, refrigerators, freezers, and dishwashers. Caterers will also require at least one commercial vehicle to transport the food from their kitchen to the location of the event. They should also have access to storage containers to transport the food in safetly.

Best Tool for the Kitchen

Monday, June 13th, 2011

Far and away the item that I love to use the most in my kitchen is a pressure cooker. They are easier to use than before and have a bunch of great benefits. When you are looking for the best pressure cooker to purchase I would recommend that you consider the size of the pot first. They come in all shapes and sizes and it would do you no good to buy one that is too small for your needs. On the other hand, it would be overkill to get a large one if you are just cooking for yourself; unless you plan on doing any canning.

I ended up getting a Presto pressure cooker because they were affordable and got decent reviews online from my research. I am not sure if it will last as long as the other ones, but for the price it has been more than worth it for me.

Are You a Rice Eater?

If you love to eat rice with your meals, investing on a good rice cooker is a must. There are plenty of rice cookers available in the market today, and because of this, you need to consider reading best rice cooker reviews first before actually buying one.

One of the most recommended rice cookers in the online market are the Zojirushi rice cookers. This brand of rice cookers ensure product durability and function efficiency. These rice cookers are mostly automatic, which means that they are computer-controlled and ultra high-tech, from their spherical, nonstick pan, to their “surround heating” system, and to their LCD clock and timer.

They promote convenience because they are designed to be remarkably compact and light in weight. They are generally easy to use and operate, thus even first-time users find this very amazing as well. Try to consider buying online in order to avail of the biggest discounts.

Make Life Easier with a Pineapple Cutter

Saturday, May 7th, 2011

There are some things in the kitchen that seriously don’t deserve to have a tool made just for that task. It simply doesn’t make sense. It costs too much, it takes up too much space, and you’ll never use it for anything else. Those things are simple not worth the efforts of researching. One thing however, that is worth it is a pineapple cutter. Granted, this tool does only one thing, but it what it does is such a big relief, and such a load off your back that it is worth it. It is quite affordable too. Save yourself the trouble of cutting open pineapples with a knife if you could even do it properly. Stop getting angry that sliced pineapple costs so much at the supermarket. Get some whole pineapple and a pineapple cutter yourself and reap all the benefits. With a fruit so tasty, you’ll wonder how you got by without this in your kitchen a long time ago.

Luxury Gift Baskets

Saturday, May 7th, 2011

Finding a selection of luxury gift baskets in this economy is becoming more and more difficult. While a number of wineries once focused almost exclusively on this trend, these days with the lessening of $50 and up wine purchases, fewer and fewer wineries are offering luxury gift baskets for sale. One winery, which we wish would offer a true luxury gift basket with their outstanding wine is Sonoma Coast Vineyards. A memorable vineyard in that it lies a mere 4 miles from the Pacific Ocean and in one of the coolest weather regions in all of California, Sonoma Coast focuses it’s production from it’s estate owned and operated vineyards which produce Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The winery has a range of events on site, many of which are invitation only type affairs for their wine club members and to their credit, wines from Sonoma Coast routinely eclipse the 90 point mark,

Teapots with Infusers Make Brewing Tea Easy

Tuesday, April 26th, 2011

No matter what type of tea you like to drink you will find that using teapots with infusers will not only simplify your tea-making but will also help the clean up afterwards to be much easier. Most teapots that have infusers built in allow you to easily take them out once the tea is fully brewed and then to pop them back in again when it is time to infuse your second cup.

That is, in fact, one thing that you do need to look for when purchasing this type of teapot. Most complaints I have heard about teapots with infusers is that the infuser itself is either difficult or awkward to take out. This is not such a problem when you are trying to clean the teapot, as you just need to persevere a little but it can be a real issue when brewing tea. As you probably know, over-steeped tea often does not taste very good and it is important when using loose tea leaves that you only steep the leaves for a specific amount of time to bring out the flavor in the tea. For this reason, look for a teapot that has an easy to access and easy to take out infuser unit.

Healthy Eating with Quinoa

Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

Quinoa is a grain like crop that has been consumed since the time of the Incas. It has given their warriors the energy they needed to win over battles. Up to now, people are still taking advantage of the nutrients that quinoa has to offer. Quinoa nutrition has offered so many benefits that it fits any kind of lifestyle and diet. Here are some ways that quinoa has been utilized by different people.

For those who are trying to lose weight and/or trying to build muscles, they have benefited from quinoa by taking advantage of its protein and fiber content. Those are what quinoa has been popularly known for. It is a source of non-meat protein, perfect for those gym buffs and/or vegetarians. The fiber content has also been used well by weight watchers trying to control their hunger and cravings.

Quinoa has also been beneficial to those who have celiac disease. Since they cannot have grains because the gluten content will make their conditions worse, quinoa is always a good substitute for them. They prepare quinoa instead of having rice or couscous so they can still enjoy eating as if they do not have the disease.

For the regular folks, they have taken advantage of quinoa nutrition by consuming the nutrients and vitamins that quinoa has. Besides fiber and protein, this includes magnesium, manganese, and copper. The magnesium regulates blood pressure, while the manganese and copper are able to prevent cancer and other harmful substances in the body.

With all those nutrients, there is no wonder why the Incas used it before going to battle. There is also no wonder why it remains popular up until today. It can provide the energy you need and also helps prevent diseases. Take advantage of quinoa now so you can also get ready to battle your day ahead.

They Love a Holiday Barbecue

Tuesday, April 12th, 2011

On Christmas or New Year’s Day, Filipinos welcome the arrival of their relatives coming from abroad, with a lechon or roasted pig. Everybody gathers around it waiting to taste the crunchy skin and juicy meat. For those who can not afford the lechon, Filipinos still have cheaper and delicious alternatives.

One such alternative is the barbecue. A marinade suited to Filipino taste is used on meat and chicken. Pork barbecue on a stick or pork skewers to some, is very popular not only during these season but in all occasions as well. This is why an ugly drum smoker comes handy in most households. Easy to prepare and grill, pork barbecue on stick has become the favorite of young and old alike. In fact, it is one of best selling street food in the country. The taste of pork barbecue is unique from all the rest because of the different home-made marinades.

Holidays need not be expensive if you can only be creative.

Why I Love Pizza in New York City

Thursday, March 31st, 2011

As a guy born and raised in Manhattan, I have a healthy love for New York Pizza. While I can appreciate food from all over the world (I work for an event catering company after all!), I love my local pizza. The best part about it is that every place you go in the city has a different spin on it, even though it is such a basic recipe. Pizza is my favorite food because I can go to 50 different Pizza places and order the same thing and all 50 of them will be a little different. From the spicy cajun style of two boots pizza to the old-school brick oven thin thin thin crust of John’s on Bleeker, to any of the thousands of sliceries that pop up and tear down each year from block to block, I’ll eat at any of them. We even have a few cafe Unos that serve Chicago style, if you’re into that kind of thing. If pizza didn’t make me so fat, I would eat it every day of the week for dinner without thinking twice about it, and still have plenty of variety.
